Hey there Louise, It`s so good to see the positive side of the web page, well, i`ve recently read a topic about Reticulate Activating System, and it`s mindblowing as emotionally i`ve experienced some events like that in my life, well i`d like to experience in the present, but i`m so lazy to do it, planning to meditate at the morning but i`m always come under procrastinating thing, even i`ve every resource to be successful, but still procrastinating…:(
Could u show me a way to defeat this laziness.?
Hey there Cathyanne – thanks for connecting and great question.
You mention procrastination and laziness – these are two different things albeit both being patterns of behavior. Procrastination does not always come with laziness and vice versa so that could be part of your issue – confusion.
Given the above and that I do not know you and have not worked with you, I am unaware of how your patterns in thinking, emotion and behavior are organized. Given this, there are many ways I could answer this question as the intention behind your current pattern of procrastination or laziness could be one of many things. The answer to that lies below your conscious awareness which is also where the reticular activating system is operating.
What I can suggest is a few general things that could make a significant positive difference…
- Ask yourself. “What is the laziness for?” “What is the intention of this laziness?”
- Rather than focus on the laziness, focus on what it is that you want through having an enhanced relationship with your reticular activating system i.e. what outcomes you could achieve and the benefits that you would experience. FOCUS your attention on your intention
- Create a sacred or special place where you can sit, relax, meditate or daydream
- Start with baby steps by doing five minutes of meditation each morning and allow that to form a pattern
Start implementing the above suggestions in your daily life and I am sure you will start to experience positive transformation.
